A Basque couple, who were on vacation on the island, have reported a robbery at the well-known Papagayo Arena hotel. Apparently, this couple had left the hotel and had left 600 euros and a cell phone in the room, which when they returned were no longer in the room. The hotel manager assures that he has registered the entries and exits of the room, through the card, and that only those of the couple occurred.
Despite this, the tourists demanded the complaint form from the hotel establishment and realized that these did not comply with the law. Therefore, they decided to report this situation to the Island Council, but their surprise was when the First Institution informed them that this hotel does not have the mandatory licenses to be in operation, so it does not have insurance to deal with these situations.
The couple, who stayed in that hotel, since they had hired a tourist package, are outraged by this situation and have filed a complaint with the Civil Guard for the theft and have also denounced the Island Council for allowing the opening and operation of a hotel that does not have the licenses.
