A business in Puerto del Carmen has been reported for failing to comply with health measures against Covid, in an inspection carried out by the Civil Guard of Tías, in coordination with the Local Police.

The events occurred on Tuesday afternoon at 8:30 p.m., when agents were alerted by a citizen to the presence of numerous tourists crowding on the terrace of an establishment without masks and without maintaining interpersonal safety distance.

For this reason, agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police went to one of the establishments located on Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, verifying the presence of about 70 mostly foreign clients, who filled the terrace of the premises without making adequate use of masks and without maintaining the corresponding safety distance.

In addition, the chairs and tables were at a distance less than that allowed (two meters between the chairs of the different tables according to current regulations) and a live music session was taking place at that time, which was not authorized.

For all the above, various administrative complaints were filed against the establishment for non-compliance with the sanctioning regime that establishes prevention measures against Covid-19 for not respecting the safety distance between tables with respect to health safety and municipal regulations for carrying out a musical activity without authorization, which will be sent by the Local Police to the competent sanctioning authority.
