With a lot of participation and animation, the residents of the town of El Mojón in the municipality of Teguise have been celebrating the festivities in honor of Ntra. Mrs. la Virgen del Rosario.
On Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. in the sports courts of the C.S.C. Guenia launched the "XXIV Tenderete Canario". The Guagime folk group was in charge of putting the first musical notes and their dances before the watchful eye of the numerous public there present.
Los almost forty members of the Guagime family offered an entertaining show as they made an imaginary trip through each of the islands, leaving behind one of their most representative dances without forgetting, of course, the songs and dances of our island of Lanzarote.
Secondly, the "Los Salineros de la Hoya"parranda acted, its eight members managed to get the public to leave their seats and everyone started dancing, filling the sports court. The Los Salineros de la Hoya parranda already have a recorded album where a wide musical repertoire is collected, intermingled with Canarian and Mexican songs, among others. During the more than ninety minutes that their performance lasted, the public did not return to their seats.
The night continued with great animation and it was the turn for the parranda that arrived from Arrecife, Gurfines Son Los del Puerto, its fifteen members continued to maintain the animation in the stall with their careful and lively performance. They started with the famous song "El Polvorete", as soon as they heard the first notes everyone returned to the track, prolonging the stall until well into the morning. The festival commission went out of its way to attend to the public who came from neighboring towns, offering them a varied Canarian enyesque.
