The young people of the municipality of Tías have a date with the celebration of the International Youth Day organized by the city council in the Plaza del Varadero, Puerto del Carmen, next Monday, August 12, starting at 11:00 am.
The Councilor for Youth, Pepa González, encourages young people to intensify their role as an active part of society by participating in this celebration, which aims to promote sports, collaborative games and culture connected to values such as cooperation, equity and solidarity.
According to the United Nations, young people lead the adoption and development of new technologies, and impose digital trends and innovation around the world. In addition, seven out of ten young people want to be part of the green transition.
The activities will consist of water rides on banana and donut, canoes, parascending, water slide, traditional games, playstation 5 with virtual reality, Nintendo swich, board games, basketball, soccer, badminton, jungle speed, bubble soccer, archery tag and exhibitions, among others. DJs Ángel Pérez and Aitor Alonso will also perform.
The International Youth Day event in El Varadero has been organized by the City Council of Tías through the Youth area led by Pepa González. Sponsored by the City Council of Tías, the Youth area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and collaborated by Toshi Game, the city of the Gamer and the PFAE Dinamiza Tías II.
