On the eve of San Pedro, the residents of the town of Mácher enjoyed the concert Mano a Mano, a show with the voices of two greats of song in Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, Almudena Hernández and Ciro Corujo, accompanied by a cast of four music professionals such as Miguel Ángel Cabrera, Adrián Niz, Roberto Gil and José Vicente Pérez. A concert where the piano, guitars, bass and timple, all the instruments wrapped the powerful and tuned voices of Almudena and Ciro, who are not resisted by any musical genre.
Mano a Mano, the musical that premiered in Mácher on the occasion of the patron saint festivities, conquered the numerous public that filled the capacity of the social hall, for ninety minutes and with hardly a small break. The voices of the two singers were at all times one hundred percent and with the strength that characterizes them. In addition, they showed off each of the songs they performed, taking a tour of some of the compositions that are part of the universal songbook and also involving the public, to the rhythm of tango, ballad, ranchera, habanera, bolero and pop. Rhythms that transmitted with great naturalness.
'Mano a Mano' featured a very special guest who was making his debut in Mácher, at just seven years old Cirito Corujo, shone like a star accompanying the cast of musicians with his timple to perform the 'Sorondongo'. The young man in just one week, became aware of the musical notes that the song carried. Without a doubt, the courage and ease of "Cirito" conquered the public, wrapping him with the loudest of applause. Ciro's father can rest easy because the saga is guaranteed.
Before the arrival of the moment of farewell and at the insistence of the public, Almudena and Ciro performed several encores. Being two voices very linked to traditional music, an isa parrandera could not be missing to put the finishing touch to a 'Mano a Mano' concert, where Almudena and Ciro shone with their own light.
