The Charco de San Ginés has become the epicenter of some of the events programmed by the Arrecife City Council for the San Ginés Festivities. Among them, on Wednesday night this space hosted the musical show Aulaga, a project created by the famous timple player from Fuerteventura, Domingo Rodríguez Oramas, known as El Colorao.

The idea of his performance took place in some wineries of old houses to transmit that warmth that is only achieved in small gatherings and that unfortunately is lost with the rigor of recording studios.

The Aulaga project was recorded live in 2003 with the collaboration of musicians and soloists from all the Canary Islands. On Wednesday night, the public filled the allowed capacity, also occupying the space adjacent to the stage. In that context, they were able to enjoy a magnificent concert where improvisation was given free rein.

During the show, musicians and soloists elicited the loudest applause for each of the pieces that were staged.

For this occasion, El Colorao had representation from the islands of La Graciosa, by José Manuel Toledo encouraging with his Mandolin; La Palma was represented by Juan Carlos Pérez with the Guitar; Gran Canaria was represented with the solo voice of Mariví Cabo; Tenerife was represented with the solo voice of Héctor González; Fuerteventura was represented with the solo voice of Ayla Rodríguez and El Colorao with his Timple.

Meanwhile, the island of Lanzarote was represented by the Maestro Antonio Corujo, Ciro and his son Cirito, and at the helm of this ship loaded with the best representation of traditional music and songs, the best captain, Domingo Rodríguez El Colorao.

A show where the public could enjoy isas, malagueña, sorondongo, berlinas and some ranchera. Without a doubt, there was a very emotional moment when Maestro Antonio Corujo appeared on stage after a time away from the stages.

Corujo recited a poem dedicated to Lanzarote and at the end the public stood up and applauded him and was happy to see him again on stage in the framework of these San Ginés Festivities in which for so many years he has participated singing and reciting the verses of the Maestro de salinas Víctor Fernández Gopar El Salinero.

The concert came to an end with airs of isas also counting on the complicity of the public that accompanied very animated in the refrains.
