The price per square meter for rent in Arrecife reached 11.5 euros per square meter in June, the highest price in the entire historical series according to the Idealista.com price index.
This indicator means that renting an 80 square meter apartment costs an average of 920 euros in the capital of Lanzarote today, when twelve months ago it cost 768 euros, that is, 9.6 euros per square meter.
In percentage terms, the price has experienced an increase of 19.5% in the last year and is one of the largest increases in the Canary Islands.
To understand the magnitude of the growth, it is enough to observe the evolution of prices in the province and in the Canary Islands as a whole, which are higher, but have grown less.
In the province of Las Palmas, the price per square meter for rent rises to 14.2 euros, 13.6% more expensive than twelve months ago.
The average for Canary Islands, on the other hand, is 14.6 euros, a price that has grown by 12.9% in the last year.
