Until recently, the lower segment of the market was undervalued even by the manufacturers themselves, allocating limited resources to them. However, the current market trend indicates that it is the only segment that has not stopped growing in times of crisis, so the new Toyota Aygo arrives at the right time. And it does so with convincing arguments, especially focused on the clientele to which it is addressed.
Clearly focused on a young audience (although not exclusively), the new Toyota Aygo offers the two main factors that this customer looks at when buying their first car: price and design. The "real" price of the car is 8,990 euros, without being subject to financing or anything like that. 1,000 euros related to the PIVE Plan can be deducted from this price if you have a vehicle to scrap under the announced conditions.
And in design, the new Aygo resorts to the formula of on-site customization in the final section of the sale, directly at the dealership for the most part. With this, the possibilities are enormous and very agile since most of the personalized parts are available or at most within a maximum period of 20 days.
In detail, the customization possibilities range from the front grille in the shape of an "X", its lateral extension, to the footrests, the roof, the logos, the rims and the mudguards.
The new Aygo has been specifically designed to substantially improve the ride quality of the previous generation, and technically everything has been optimized. Now, the new Aygo turns in a radius of only 4.8 meters, which makes it the ideal vehicle for driving around the city.
As is the norm at Toyota, safety is paramount and no effort has been spared in this area. It incorporates ABS anti-lock braking system, 6 airbags, tire pressure warning system and stability control as standard.
In terms of equipment there are three variants: Aygo x, Aygo x-play and Aygo x-play+. The first option includes 14" wheels as standard, x front and extension in black, electric power steering, air conditioning and sound system with 2 speakers, auxiliary input and USB, among others.
The Aygo x-play finish adds to the above the possibility of customization, 15" wheels, mirrors in the color of the bodywork, electric and heated, handles in color, 4-speaker audio and Bluetooth, leather steering wheel, two-tone seats, ...
Finally, the superior equipment adds alloy wheels, x front and rear bumper diffuser in piano black, air conditioning, x-touch multimedia system and rear view camera.
The Toyota Aygo is available with the efficient 1-liter engine that develops 69 hp and a maximum torque of 91 Nm, enough to propel it up to 160 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 14.2 seconds. Consumption is 3.6 liters per 100 km on the road and 4.1 liters on average.
