A total of 347 students from Lanzarote participated in the latest edition of Endesa Educa, the Endesa Foundation program that promotes the rational use of electricity and promotes knowledge about the world of energy, dealing with everything from the operation of the entire electrical system to notions of energy efficiency in the home.
Throughout 2019, students from Arrecife, Teguise and San Bartolomé had the opportunity to expand their knowledge about energy during an educational visit to the Punta Grande power plant in which, in addition to learning how the facility works, they acquired some habits for efficient consumption in their homes. In total, during the past year the plant received fifteen groups of visitors, mostly students from Secondary, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training from CEO Argana, CIFP Zonzamas, Arenas Internacional school and IES Las Salinas, Las Maretas and Playa Honda.
In addition to visits to facilities, Endesa Educa promotes workshops in classrooms, in which thirty primary school students from the Arenas Internacional school participated. This course is the first edition in which the Endesa Educa Digital platform has been available, which is a further step towards the digitization of Endesa Educa's educational proposals. With the new tool, always available online and free, teachers and students have materials specially designed for 3rd and 4th grade, through which they can learn about energy efficiency while playing.
