Although "the progress of Lanzarote's companies towards digitalization is still somewhat slow", more than 1,250 companies in the province of Las Palmas, which represent 40% of companies with between 10 and 50 employees, have applied for aid from the central government's 'Digital Kit' program, according to the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Chamber of Commerce.
The objective of the program is to subsidize the implementation of digital solutions available in the market to achieve a significant advance in the digitalization of businesses. With the second segment already open, which includes companies with 3 to less than 10 employees, it remains to be seen how this data offered by Red.es, a public entity dependent on the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence and promoter of the aid, evolves.
Also through Red.es, and with the same purpose of digitizing Spanish SMEs, a network of digitalizing offices has been launched to help in the mission. And, "according to the forecasts of several studies, between 40% and 50% of the companies we know today are going to disappear before 2030 for not adapting to the digital environment in which we are already immersed."
The Oficina Acelera Pyme Program offers support to small and medium-sized companies and the self-employed in their digital transformation process. Through free online training, numerous aspects are addressed that micro-enterprises and the self-employed can incorporate into their processes to be more productive. In addition, through these offices, you can obtain individualized advice to accelerate the transformation process. To access this service, it is necessary to request an appointment through the telephone numbers of the Lanzarote Chamber.
Acelera Pyme is promoted by Red.es and Cámara España through its Network of Chambers and is co-financed by the ERDF funds of the European Union, within the framework of the Pluriregional Operational Program of Spain ERDF 2014-2020, with application throughout the national territory.
