The bus drivers of the César Manrique Airport line have denounced this Monday that "private cars park in their parking lot" in Terminal 1. They demand that they do not have the tools to solve the problem. "We can't do anything to solve it", one of them told La Voz.
They ask that a "solution and alternative" be provided to prevent the problem from getting worse. "The correct thing would be for the San Bartolomé City Council, the Lanzarote Cabildo, the transport concession company and Aena to agree to condition another parking area," he adds.
A solution would be to assign the platforms on the top of the parking lots, so that bus lines 22, 23 and 161 that go to the Airport can comfortably access them. "Since no solution is being sought, one or two platforms should be conditioned," says the driver.
Finally, they explain that "users must be safe and thus, we could not risk the safety of pedestrians on public roads," explains the man.
