A reader of La Voz de Lanzarote has shared a video showing a plane taking off this Monday, February 13, from the César Manrique airport, during the haze episode on the island.

In the video you can see the poor visibility left by the dust in suspension in Lanzarote this Monday, a day in which the yellow alert for haze activated by the State Meteorological Agency was still in force.

"I live in Lanzarote and I have seen strong haze more often, but it is impressive to see the amount of earth there was and how far it reached, although the pilots are already used to it. For them, it's as if it were night," says the author of the video, Joaquín Marquinez.

The passenger of the aircraft also recorded images minutes after taking off, in which you can see the haze below the clouds and covering the blue sky.

The haze that has covered Lanzarote during the last few days will subside this Tuesday, February 14 at night, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency.

With the departure of the haze, Aemet predicts that temperatures will drop slightly, ranging between 14 and 21 degrees. In addition, cloudy skies will prevail during the central hours of the day and there is a low probability of weak and occasional rainfall, which may be more likely in the afternoon.
