"Dirt, rats, cockroaches and dog poop". This is what, according to a neighbor, can be found today on La Concha beach. In conclusion, she points out, "a beach disaster".
As she explains in her writing, on June 22nd, she met with the mayor of Arrecife, Cándido Reguera, to explain the problem of this beach. However, although she states that "like a good politician" he assured her that he "would solve the problem", after a month "nothing" had been done.
Therefore, she then decided to contact Radio Lanzarote, taking advantage of a gathering where there was "a lady from the PP", who replied that she "would take action on the matter". However, she states that since then "2 months have passed and they have done absolutely nothing". The only thing they have done, she says, is "put up a little sign", but the owners, with their dogs, "are cracking up with laughter", says this neighbor.
"This mayor, before attracting tourists to this dirt, should start by bringing the Pied Piper of Hamelin and all the cleaners from the islands", concludes this woman.
