Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen achieved a valuable victory this Saturday at the Municipal de Tías in the visit of Wise Anaitasuna (37-29) in a match corresponding to the eighteenth day of the Women's Gold Honor Division, which brings the team from Tías much closer to the goal of the season, which is permanence.
With this victory, the team from Tías is placed ninth in the general classification with fifteen points and a balance of seven victories, one draw and ten defeats. For its part, Anaitasuna remains in seventh place with twenty points.
The local team did not start well, loss in attack, goal from the Navarre team and two minutes for Yuli Quevedo. But a shot from the front by Mónica Cabrera broke the ice and opened the local score (1-2, min.4).
Little by little, the team from Tías warmed up against the tough Navarre defense. A very eventful and difficult match in its beginnings. Tatti Masseu landed in the match with two goals from the left corner and a noisy post, beginning to make a difference on the scoreboard (6-3, min. 12).
Puerto stepped on the accelerator in the face of a phase of many doubts from the visiting defense, leading to the first timeout from the Navarre team (12-7, min.17:45).
Despite the break, the inertia would continue to be the same. The visiting coach changed in goal being seven goals down, but, at that moment, the problems came in attack. A goal on the counterattack by Suely Pinto Spencer pushed Pablo Galech to ask for the second timeout to try to change things (16-9, min.22).
Anaitasuna woke up from the lethargy with a goal on the counterattack to break the scoring drought, achieving a partial zero three to land the first local timeout (18-12, min. 26:30).
Technical timeout for the team from Tías that served to close the leak in time before the break (20-13).
Although Puerto chained a couple of sanctions at the beginning of the second half, the visitors did not manage to get much benefit (22-15, min. 5).
The match became a bit crazy and the unstoppable passage of minutes benefited the aurinegras (27-18, min. 13). Although Anaitasuna did not lower their arms, the match became uphill as they approached the final stretch (30-20, min.16).
With ten minutes left for the end of the match, Juanmi Pérez gave way to the less usual players with a ten-goal advantage. Little more to highlight in the closing of the match. Cristina Mazaira saved two penalties in a row, but the match was already decided.
In the ranks of the team from Tías, Fernanda Insfrán became the top scorer of the match and of her team with ten goals. Well supported in the offensive facet by the nine goals of Tati Masseu. Among the Navarre team, the seven goals of Uxue Morentin stood out.
The team from Tías returns to the competition on March 22 at 6:00 p.m. (local time) in the Las Espartanas Pavilion against Soliss Bm. Pozuelo de CVA. The team from Ciudad Real is tenth with thirteen points and arrives at this day after winning against the leader, Zonzamas, at their home in San Bartolomé (24-25).
