The grassroots work that the Waza-Ari Judo Club has been doing has gradually been bearing fruit. The Lanzarote club will compete nationally in the coming months and will officially present its TeamCompetition team next Saturday. A team that will be made up of children and cadet judokas, who will test their evolution in the tests that will be held at the national level.
The Waza-Ari Lanzarote Judo TeamCompetition arises from the Waza-Ari Judo School directed by the National Judo Master Alejandro Collado, being the Technical Director of the competition section. The team that has been recently created will compete in the Spanish Cups, in the children and cadet categories, and in a total of nine weights.
The presentation to society of the Waza-Ari Judo TeamCompetition will take place next Saturday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the Blas Cabrera Felipe Pavilion. A day in which the end of the Waza-Ari School year will be celebrated, and in which the new belt exams will be held from 9:00 a.m.
The act will be used to publicize the objectives set by the Waza-Ari Judo TeamCompetition team. The competitive section of the entity directed by Alejandro Collado will be present in the different tests of the Spanish Cup, which will be held in Madrid, Andalusia, Navarra, the Basque Country or Murcia. The format of the competition will be the league and qualifying for the Spanish Judo Championship, in which the judokas with the best ranking will be.
The launch of the Waza-Ari Judo TeamCompetition is possible thanks to the collaboration of private companies, betting on promoting sports from the base.
