Unión Deportiva Lanzarote continues working to complete the squad for the second part of the season, and in the last hours has closed the incorporation of three new players. Goalkeeper Víctor Sainz (whose signing had already been advanced by La Voz), full-back Quique Crespo and midfielder Federico, are the new members of the first red-and-white squad.
Víctor Sainz Díaz, born on May 10, 1986 in Santander (Cantabria), occupies the position of goalkeeper and currently played for Club Atlético Deva of the Third Division of Cantabria. Víctor is 1.85 meters tall and weighs 76 kilos, having trained in the lower categories of Racing de Santander.
Enrique Crespo Vega, born on June 16, 1976 in Madrid, is known as Quique Crespo. He occupies the position of left back and currently did not belong to any team, after starting the season at CD Teguise. Quique Crespo has experience in the Second Division B, a category in which he played 25 matches with Orientación Marítima in the 2006/2007 season.
Federico Brian O´neill Gómez, born on December 11, 1985 in Montevideo (Uruguay), known as Fede, occupies the position of midfielder or left inside. The player already completed the pre-season with the first team and usually trains with the first team. Fede currently had a file with the Regional team of UD Lanzarote, and will now have a federative file of Second Division B.
The squad of Unión Deportiva Lanzarote returns to training on Wednesday, January 14 and begins to prepare for the next league match against CD Leganés. Regarding the next match against CD Leganés, there will be two absences, that of midfielder Vladimir and that of forward Toñito.
The two players saw the fifth yellow card of the season in the match against Villa de Santa Brígida, so they will have to serve a one-match suspension for accumulation of yellow cards. Thus, Carmelo Hernández, coach of UD Lanzarote, recovers forward Maciot for this next match, a player who has already completed a cycle of warnings in the match against Santa Brígida.
