The young rabbit pilot Víctor González, from the official Maranello Kart Spain Factory Team, traveled last weekend to participate in the second round of the Karting Championship of the Valencian Community.
He moved to the Aspar circuit to be able to make contact with the track from Thursday, which seemed very complicated and physically demanding, little by little he was picking up the pace until Saturday at the chrono, he was positioned in P15 so on Sunday he would start from that position.
On Sunday morning a splendid day dawned and the temperature of the track rose a lot, the race started with a very good rhythm, which was climbed lap by lap and finally managed to finish P7 position that places him on the grid of race 2.
In race 2 he had one of the bitter faces of this sport, since after being in a good position from the start, a driver who was starting from the back of the grid went off and joined the curve one, throwing two drivers out, managing to rejoin the track with almost a lost lap, but he continued in the race to try to minimize damage and despite the effort he managed to achieve a 16th place.
Race reflection
Even so, he has been placed in P7 of the CKCV and missing the points that have not been added in the second race.
Víctor and the team are aware that they are the Rookie in this championship and we arrive at the circuits without knowing the layouts unlike most of my teammates who can train the weekend before. From the club they have highlighted that they are very happy" with their position in said championship. "The most important thing is that we continue to advance and learn to be even more competitive," he highlights.
