Unai Ugarte's (CD Código Cero) two victories in the first and second races on Sunday helped him become the overall and under 16 winner of the IX César Manrique Trophy in the Optimist class. Ugarte achieved his goal of surpassing Mateo Roa (RCNA), who had a good weekend starting as leader after Saturday's session. Ugarte scored 2 points today compared to Roa's 10, both with one discard on the last day of racing. They climbed to the top two spots on the podium, accompanied by Gustavo del Castillo (RCN Gran Canaria).

Interestingly, the top two, although from different clubs, share Alejandro Bethencourt as their coach.

In the under 16 female category, the sailors from RCN Gran Canaria dominated, with the "veteran" Marta Mansito leading the way, demonstrating her category and experience once again. Lili María Skomska and Silvia M Medina followed her.

The under 13 male podium was led by Santiago Pérez (RCN Tenerife), followed by Gonzalo Presa (CD Código Cero) and Alfonso Garcías Cruz (RCN Arrecife).

Similar to the under 16 female category, the under 13 category was dominated by sailors from RCN Gran Canaria. María Guindín was first, followed by her teammate Alba Ponce. The third place went to Myrian Merino (Club Marítimo Varadero), also from Gran Canaria. Without officially counting within the qualifier, RCN Arrecife awarded trophies to the top three under 11 finishers: Pablo Medina (RCN Arrecife), Lola Carrión (CD Código Cero), and Patricia Sosa (Club Marítimo Varadero).

Following the completion of Sunday's races, where Unai Ugarte won the first two and Gustavo del Castillo won the third, the awards ceremony took place. Participants included RCNA President Julio Romero, institutional representatives Juan Francisco Monzón from the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Eli Merino and Roberto Herbón from the Arrecife City Council, and Enrique Sánchez representing Caixabank. David Pérez (RFCV), José Ramón Medina (AECIO), and RCNA directors Juan Roa and Estanislao Bethencourt also participated.
