UD Lanzarote faced CD Herbania with the need to add the victory to not lose sight of the leader of the category and to validate the draw of the last day in San Bartolomé. Despite the attempts, the Rojillos did not find the formula to overcome the defensive framework proposed by the Majorera team and with the goalless draw the end of the match arrived.
UD Lanzarote was infected in the first part by the game and rhythm proposal of the rival, finding CD Herbania comfortable on the field. The only occasion for the locals would arrive in the 20th minute, with a foul executed by Nadjib from the right side, and the goalkeeper Aless put his hand in to avoid the header from Alex Cruz at the far post.
The dominance of UD Lanzarote was accentuated in the second half, and as the minutes passed, it locked the rival in its field. In the 64th minute, a cross from Alex Cruz from the right wing was finished off by Iván Hujo in the goal mouth, with Aless starring in a good intervention to avoid the goal.
A shot from the edge of the area by Álvaro Iglesias that went close to the post, a play by Nadjib on the right in which Aless stopped low and a shot that went high from Raúl from inside the area, were the clearest chances generated by UD Lanzarote to add the victory, but the result was immovable.
Goalless draw that leaves UD Lanzarote in the third position of the classification, ten points behind UD Las Palmas Atlético and three behind UD Tamaraceite. The yellow subsidiary will be the next rival of UD Lanzarote, visiting the leader of the category.
