UD Lanzarote continues to climb positions in the standings of the Third Division and, thanks to the victory achieved on Sunday morning against CD Vera, the red team is in second position. Adolfo Pérez's team achieved the three points in an eventful match, with the winning goal coming in the 93rd minute. Marcos Cabrera and Luis Arráez were injured during the match, in a clash in which Kennedy put the red team ahead from the penalty spot and Toñito scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute.

The first half of the match was characterized by a fast game, with the clash taking place on a field that was very fast due to the water that fell throughout the morning in Puerto de la Cruz de Tenerife. The locals created the first dangerous chance of the match in the eleventh minute. A good shot by Jhonny was stopped by goalkeeper Agoney, who was well positioned under the posts.

As the minutes passed, UD Lanzarote began to open lines and began to generate dangerous chances on the CD Vera goal. The red team had to make their first substitution in the 23rd minute of the first half, with Marcos Cabrera being injured and leaving his place in the center of the field to Kilian. Minutes later, Mauri was left alone in front of the CD Vera goal, with David saving the shot with his foot from below. And in the 35th minute, a header from Kennedy was sent to a corner kick by the local goalkeeper.

In the 37th minute of the first half, the action would arrive that unbalanced the score in favor of UD Lanzarote. Local defender Cuper touched the ball inside the area with his hand and referee Moisés Zamora Aguilar did not hesitate to whistle the maximum penalty. Kennedy was in charge of executing the penalty and establishing the 0-1, the result with which the first half ended.

At the beginning of the second half, Patricio de Ara, coach of CD Vera, debuted Caleta and Alexis de Paz, two of the signings confirmed throughout the week and who arrive at the northern team from Atlético Granadilla. CD Vera improved their game at the beginning of the second half, going up in search of the equalizing goal. UD Lanzarote had to face a good part of this second half with a numerical disadvantage, with Jeremy being sent off in the 63rd minute with a double yellow card.

Barely a minute after the expulsion of the UD Lanzarote striker, the CD Vera goal would arrive. A good cross from Caleta was headed in by Jhonny to establish the tie. The match would be enlivened with the equalizing goal and the locals had chances to unbalance the match on their side. The clearest was had by Dani in the 77th minute, with a shot that would end up crashing into the base of the post.

In the final stretch of the match, UD Lanzarote suffered the second injury, with Luis Arráez having to leave the match due to a blow to the knee. We are waiting to know the extent of the injury of the red player, although everything indicates that he could have the ligament of the knee affected with a sprain that would keep him out of the field for several weeks.

Everything indicated that at the end of the match it was going to end with a one-goal draw, a moment that was chosen by Toñito to surprise everyone. The red team took a short free kick in the center of the field and from that area Toñito connected a strong shot with which he surprised goalkeeper David. A great goal scored by the UD Lanzarote striker and which meant the first victory of the team from Lanzarote away from home this season.

UD Lanzarote adds its second victory in a row, three points that allow it to ascend to the second position in the standings and having one game less, which it will have to play on November 19 against CD Marino. In the next matchday, UD Lanzarote receives the visit of UD Las Zocas, a match that will be played from 12:00 hours at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote.
