The second round of the Lanzarote Island Championship 2021 and again as a scoring event for both the Las Palmas and the Canary Islands Regional Mountain Championship, has had the Lanzarote driver Toñín Suárez as the main protagonist. He clearly prevailed with his Porsche 911 GT3 with a best final time of 2.16.4 (achieved in the first official heat), which meant four seconds better than his closest rival, Gran Canaria's Julio Martínez with another Porsche 911, who could do little to challenge the winner due to the lower performance of his car. The podium was completed by another Lanzarote driver, Adrián Betancort, who made the most of his Renault Megane to finish third and defend himself from the attacks of other aspirants to the top of the standings. For his part, Luis Duque won solo among the historical (H5) with his BMW 325i.

Important triumph for Suárez in Haría, which could be the last with this Porsche with which he has won the last Lanzarote island championships, the past Rallye de Teguise and finally his first victory in this climb that resisted him despite conquering several podiums in past editions. A result that strengthens him at the head of the Lanzarote Championship, where for the moment he has been left without rivals of his level.

And taking into account his pretensions, Julio Martínez's second place is much more in terms of following the Canary Islands Championship, where he will remain leader for a good time after this fourth round of the year, also gaining ground in the Las Palmas Provincial Championship in the absence of its leaders, Armas and Cabral, in this fifth climb of the Provincial Championship. He undoubtedly becomes the favorite for the title of the regional event.

Although he could not reach the times of the Porsche, Adri Betancort knew how to make good use of his Renault to deal with the tight fight unleashed behind him, with a large group of drivers who pushed the clock hard and where David Tenorio finally stood out with the refined Opel Corsa GSi, so much so that he was 1.5 seconds away from the last step of the podium. With few differences between them, Francisco Rosales was classified fifth with the Honda Civic, followed by Alfredo Guerra with another Megane, Kevin Hernández with the SEAT Ibiza, Rubén Rivera also with Renault Megane and closing the group of the top ten, the veteran R-11 of Pedro Luzardo and the "soplillo" of Martín Robayna... But the climb of positions continued with Alejandro Betancort, with minimum margins until the 15th place of the general, since the differences between these drivers of the middle zone were always of few hundredths of a second, with an equality rarely seen in a mountain climb.
In the end, 30 of the 34 participating drivers were classified, with three retired due to breakdown and the road exit of vehicle number 7 of Marcos Vilar.

Good atmosphere of public and pleasant climatology, with more sun than clouds and final touch in the Plaza de Haría with the delivery of trophies, with presence of the Insular Councilor of Sports Francisco Aparicio, the president of the FALP Miguel Angel Domínguez, together with the municipal representatives, since the participation of this town hall, especially of its mayoress Chaxiraxi Niz and the councilor of sports Alejandro Hernández, have been key to carry out the test under the organization of the CD. Evesport directed by José Víctor Rodríguez.
