At seven in the morning, punctual for the annual event, the most important sporting event on the island of Lanzarote began. About 1,600 triathletes have registered for this edition. After several hours of testing, thirteen of those who started the test had to abandon for various reasons, according to the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium. "Nine of the abandonments were in the swimming test and the rest in the bicycle test, only one of them had to be transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital due to a shoulder dislocation," they add.
