The XV Uco Arrocha Seminar Kicks Off

The fifteenth edition of the Uco Arrocha Seminar kicked off and is part of the XIX Conference on Technification of the Lanzarote Coaches Committee. On Tuesday afternoon, the opening ceremony of the Uco Arrocha Seminar took place, which gave way to the talk given by the coach Luis García. An opening ceremony held at the Arrecife Civic Center and which was used to honor Gerardo Álvarez Domínguez, who was one of the promoters of the creation of the soccer coaches' talks. 

The inauguration of the XV Uco Arrocha Seminar was attended by Antonio Brito, president of the Uco Arrocha Seminar, Luis Chirino, president of the Technical Committee of Coaches of the FIFLP, Manuel Fajardo Feo, mayor of the Arrecife City Council, Migdalia Machín, Minister of Sports of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and Paca Toledo, Councilor for Sports of the Arrecife City Council. 

Antonio Brito thanked the collaboration of public institutions and private companies, whose contribution allows the organization of talks aimed at soccer coaches in Lanzarote every year. For his part, Luis Chirino, valued the work carried out by the members of the Uco Arrocha seminar and that on many occasions is not valued in the way they should. The Minister of Sports of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Migdalia Machín, emphasized the importance of grassroots soccer and the values ​​that are transmitted to the youngest through sports. Manuel Fajardo was in charge of closing the round of interventions and inaugurating the 2014 edition of the Uco Arrocha Seminar.

The opening ceremony of the Uco Arrocha Seminar was used to honor Gerardo Álvarez Domínguez, who was one of the promoters of the creation of these talks aimed at coaches and providing all his support to facilitate the task for the organizers. Gerardo Álvarez was moved when he wanted to thank the affection of the Uco Arrocha Seminar and explained that it has always "been a pleasure to collaborate with the seminar". Gerardo received several details from the members of the Uco Arrocha Seminar, as well as from the authorities present at the opening ceremony. 

The first day of the XV Uco Arrocha Seminar continued with the talk by Luis García, who was coach of teams such as Elche, UD Levante or Getafe, among others. Luis García spoke about the work and importance of all the members of a technical staff and the work methodology he usually uses. A work methodology that has led him to be one of the references for Spanish soccer coaches today. 

The talks will continue this afternoon at the Arrecife Civic Center. From 6:00 p.m. it will be the turn of José Martín Doblado, professor of tactics at the National School of Coaches. José Martín will explain the structural analysis of the game and the importance of decision-making.
