The players of CB San José Obrero Lanzarote only had in mind this Saturday's match against Balonmano Saeplast Cañiza, knowing that they had to visit a complicated court and in which it is not easy to achieve victory. From the beginning, the team led by Iñaki Malumbres imposed its law, which allowed them to always be ahead on the scoreboard. The Galicians tightened in the second half and even managed to tie the game in the middle of the period.

CB San José Obrero Lanzarote was in charge of taking the initiative on the scoreboard from the beginning. The goals of Diego Fernández and Carmelo Álvarez (2) from the right wing, served to put the 1 to 3 on the scoreboard. The defense of the Lanzarote team was quite solid with the usual 6:0, being more open when they played in numerical superiority on the court.

After passing the halfway point of the first half, Diego Fernández penetrated through the center of the defense to put the 5 to 10 on the scoreboard. A lead that rose to six goals, after Ángel Iglesias transformed a seven-meter shot (5-11). The coach of Balonmano Saeplast Cañiza had to request a time-out.

The locals reacted, returning to the court with a 3-0 run, which forced Iñaki Malumbres to request a time-out in this case (8-11). Mikita Liavonau was in charge of breaking his team's scoring drought. With the score of 10 to 12, the first 30 minutes of the match came to an end.

The second half began with a CB San José Obrero that once again put land in between. Ángel Iglesias and Acoidán Martín scored to establish the 10 to 14. Balonmano Saeplast Cañiza was not willing to give up, and the public that gathered at the pavilion was gradually putting their team into the game.

Marcos Pequeño, after converting a seven-meter shot, was in charge of putting the tables on the scoreboard in the middle of the second half (17-17). San José Obrero was beginning to have problems overcoming the defense of the locals, having to request Iñaki Malumbres a new time-out to clarify the ideas of his players.

Óscar Silva and Mikita Liavonau returned the lead to the visitors, provoking the Cañiza's time-out. The Galicians changed their defensive system, beginning to play with a mixed defense on Diego Fernández. A defense that the players of San José Obrero read very well, with Óscar Silva, Ángel Iglesias and Diego Fernández scoring the goals that sealed the match (19-23).

San José Obrero perfectly managed the four-goal advantage they had acquired, reaching the conclusion of the match with the score of 22 to 26. Two points that allow the Lanzarote team to continue leading Group A of the Men's First National, a team that must recover on Tuesday the postponed match against Sociedad Deportiva Teucro, corresponding to the second day.
