The Lanzarote native Yoday Betancort, together with his co-driver Jordi Samuel Díaz, are starting a new sports project this season with the aim of continuing to grow in Insular motorsport. The young driver leaves the dirt and moves to asphalt and does so at the controls of the newly acquired Citroën C2. His debut will be next weekend at the V Rallye Villa de Teguise.
At the presentation of the Betancort Competición team, which took place at the Accesorios Autocaravanas Lanzarote facilities, some details of what Yoday Betancort's season will be like were revealed. He leaves aside the Seat Ibiza Cupra with which he has been competing in recent seasons in which he has participated in different slalom events and acquires the Citroën C2 and will have the help of Jordi Díaz in the co-driver tasks.

The young driver changes the dirt for the asphalt and the vehicle, leaves the Seat Ibiza Cupra and acquires the Citroën C2 with which Alejandro Carreño's team has been competing, to continue progressing in his sports career. The driver was "very excited and eager to learn from this great car and the new modality such as asphalt.”
In the new season, the entire Lanzarote Island Rally Championship will be held. In this sense, the driver explained that “the team's idea is to be present in all possible races that take place in the Lanzarote Island Championship and announced that towards the end of the season the idea is to do some tests outside the island of Lanzarote, with the clear objective of doing kilometers and learning on the asphalt".
