Juan Guedes was the stage this Saturday for the defeat of Unión Sur Yaiza (USY) against Tamaraceite (6-0) in a match to forget corresponding to matchday 24 of Group 12 of the Third Division RFEF.

The southern team arrived with all the hopes to the match but things were not going to go as planned. The casualties were going to be decisive. Tana, Miguel Gómez, Javi Morales, Ubay, Roy and Carlos Rosa, a list that was too long that left Yaiza without central defenders and with a makeshift lineup. Saúl Sánchez, Dani “Zizu”, Ale Pérez, Dani Quintana and Asdrúbal were the authors of the goals from Gran Canaria.

Tamaraceite spoke from the beginning. The eighth victory of Ibán Rodríguez's team was already clearly forged in the first half. With the ball, contrary to previous matches, close to the area frequently.

Despite the result, the first scare of the match was taken by Tamaraceite with a header from Álvaro after a corner that went wide. The locals responded with a penetration by Bruno down the side of the area that David González failed to put into Álex Medina's goal. Shortly after, Yeray Tavío, in one of his usual rides, reached the area and left a low shot that went just wide. An illusion in the middle of a hard desert. Tamaraceite said enough and scored their first goal from a penalty for a foul on Dani that Saúl converted into the first goal that went up on the Juan Guedes scoreboard.

The verdinegros looked for a reaction with an eager Emiliano Trovento who served Nico to shoot from the edge of the area but it went over the goal. The locals' warnings continued to arrive as the referee disallowed a goal to Dani Castellano for offside. Half an hour into the game the scoreboard moved again in favor of the locals. After half an hour, the capital team hit their rival's chin again. A cross to the near post was finished off by Dani Zizu into the back of the conejera goal.

With almost no chance to breathe, the third local goal arrived. A rehearsed free kick ended in a Dani Zizu who gave way to Ale Pérez to score again. The first half ends with a painful 3-0. But Tamaraceite, although Yaiza did not lower their arms, did not take their foot off the accelerator.

Trovento and Yeray Tavío continued to give warnings to Carlos Daniel's goal but without luck. However, the locals seemed to be blessed in front of goal. A penetration by Saúl was the first local warning of the second half. The two teams continued to look for the goal but only the sentence of Tamaraceite would arrive, encouraged, in addition, by the changes.

With the end over their heads, a good pass from Javi “Pipa” was used by Asdrúbal to put the fourth on the scoreboard. Almost immediately, a pass from 'Zizu' was converted into a goal by Dani Molina. It was the fifth.  Almost with the final whistle came more punishment for Yaiza. Asdrúbal got half a dozen with a painful vaseline that ended in the visiting squad. In addition, the referee would send off Álex Yunes with a straight red after protesting from the bench. More headaches for Yaiza.

Despite the defeat, the verdinegro team has benefited from the results of other teams to remain out of the relegation zone. While Yaiza remains out of the relegation places with 23 points, they are followed by Ibarra with 21, Gran Tarajal with 19 and Estrella with 13. Ibarra only managed to draw with Tenerife B, as did Gran Tarajal, who only managed one point at home against Mensajero. For its part, Estrella, last classified, also received six goals with the visit of Unión Puerto. It is precisely Estrella the next visitor to the Municipal de Yaiza. The match, capital for the verdinegros interests, will take place next Saturday, March 18, at 17:30 hours.
