Sports, fun, music and gastronomy will be some of the ingredients of the first edition of the Disco Night Urban Race 10K-5K City of Arrecife-Biolab. A sporting event that will take place in the capital of the island on May 3rd and 4th. The highlight will be the 10 and 5 kilometer race that will be held on Saturday night and in parallel there will be zumba, spinning and a solidarity race for the little ones. All this, in a great atmosphere of fun with a finish line area that will become a large disco with live music and there will be an area to enjoy the gastronomy. Important ingredients so that the runner not only competes, but can enjoy a pleasant evening accompanied by their family and friends.
On Tuesday morning, the official presentation of the Disco Night Urban Race 10K-5K City of Arrecife ? Biolab took place at the Arrecife Civic Center. An event attended by the Deputy Mayor of Arrecife, José Montelongo, the Councilor for Sports of the Arrecife City Council, Francisca Toledo, and Joaquín Caraballo, Vice President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote. They were accompanied by José Carlos Hernández, sports director of the event, and Obel Castañeda, Managing Director of Biolab Siete Mares. The Councilor for Sports of the Arrecife City Council, Francisca Toledo, thanked the organizers of the event for the effort they have been making for months. Obel Castañeda, Managing Director of Biolab Siete Martes, commented that they are "committed to the social issue", adding that there will be a solidarity race for children whose proceeds will go to the AFOL Association and that a financial contribution will be made to the Tri WWW Association. "We want to prepare a good show so that people have a good time at the end of the race," said the head of Biolab Siete Mares, one of the organizers of the Disco Night Urban Race 10K-5K City of Arrecife.
The Vice President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Joaquín Caraballo, took advantage of the presentation of the Disco Night Urban Race 10K-5K City of Arrecife-Biolab, to expressly condemn the attack that occurred yesterday at the Boston Marathon, explaining that "it is a tragedy that attacks the heart of sport and show our rejection of these violent actions".
The Disco Night Urban Race 10K-5K City of Arrecife-Biolab will take place on May 3rd and 4th. The 10 and 5 kilometer race will run through the entire Arrecife Marina and will be complemented by zumba and spinning activities.
