The municipality of Teguise and the island of Lanzarote, host for the first time a European Boxing Championship. Next Saturday, Robert Hilario "Tiburón" defends the belt of champion of the European Union of the "Super Middleweight" against the Italian Roberto Cocco. Months of hard preparation to face with guarantees the boxing evening of next Saturday, May 31, and with the intention of offering a victory to the fans of Lanzarote who have helped him so much throughout his sports career. "Tiburón" shows himself with a lot of strength to defeat his opponent and to continue growing as a boxer at an international level.
The presentation of the European Boxing Championship took place on Monday morning at the Cabrera Medina facilities, a company that also collaborates in the event on May 31. Robert Hilario "Tiburón", boxer who puts the belt of champion of the European Union at stake, has been accompanied by Pedro San Ginés, president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Echedey Eugenio, Councilor for Sports of the City Council of Teguise and Lucía Kostina, head of the Management Department of Blue Sea Hotels & Resorts. In addition, representatives of private companies and public institutions, who collaborate in the boxing evening, have been present at the event.
The director of Blue Sea Hotels & Resorts, Lucía Kostina, assured that the European Boxing Championship "brings value and a tourist attraction to the island of Lanzarote" and assured that her company is committed to this type of sporting events. In the same line was the intervention of Echedey Eugenio, Councilor for Sports of the City Council of Teguise, explaining that "for Teguise it is a pride and we wanted to concentrate on a commitment to sports tourism." Echedey wanted to thank the collaboration of private companies in this event, who have made it possible for Teguise and Lanzarote to host a great boxing evening next Saturday.
Pedro San Ginés, president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, explained that the island has "had an enormous tradition and fondness for boxing and now surely the people of Lanzarote will not miss this magnificent opportunity to attend a top-level fight." San Ginés was proud to have "Lanzarote with an adopted son like Robert Hilario "Tiburón" (Dominican by birth)", and predicted a great future given "his possibilities, qualities, plant and punch."

The Municipal Pavilion of Teguise will have an approximate capacity of 2,000 spectators, opening the doors from 8:00 p.m., one hour before the evening. Tickets will cost 10 euros for the grandstand area and that are purchased in advance, increasing to 12 euros the price of the grandstand ticket if purchased at the box office on the day of the evening. As for the chair area, tickets will cost 30 euros for the 1st, 2nd row, 20 euros in the 3rd, 4th and 5th row, and 15 euros for unnumbered chairs.
There are three points of sale for tickets for the European Boxing Championship. The first is located in FitnessMania, located on Avenida Hernández Pacheco, number 14, in the Titerroy neighborhood.
