The Montenegrin player Tamara Jovicevic has joined this Monday the training sessions of CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen under the orders of Miguel Ángel Lemes.
Jovicevic, 1.86 m. and 77 kilos in weight, was on trial in the training sessions of the Tias club at the beginning of December with the aim of reinforcing the team for the remainder of the Liga Guerreras Iberdrola, a moment that has been delayed in the calendar due to problems derived from the COVID-19 pandemic.
She was born in Montenegro on November 14, 1998 and likes to work hard and with ambition. She speaks three languages, Montenegrin, English and French. She was part of the WHC Buducnost squad from 2009 to 2018, when she signed for the French Celles sûr Belle, where she coincided with the Tias player, Sladjana Topic. She has also been part of the national team of her country, highlighting her participation in the World Cup in Russia in 2016.
The coach of CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen, Miguel Ángel Lemes, thanked Tamara Jovicevic for her arrival to the yellow team: "finally she joins after so long waiting for the documentation. She is a player who is going to contribute something that we do not have, outside shooting and height and defensive strength. After the Zuazo match we have recovered the competitive spirit and we hope that Tamara will help us to try to achieve the objective that, although it is complicated, is not impossible. She has been training in her country but she still needs a lot to reach an optimal competitive rhythm. We hope that, little by little, she will integrate and contribute what we expect from her", concluded Lemes.
