With two races held, the 7th edition of the César Manrique Trophy, a qualifier for the CIOS Circuit, began. The weather conditions caused a massive disqualification of sailors in the first round and only allowed for two races to be held.

No less than 40 of the 116 participants saw the black flag at the start of the first regatta, there were 3 general recalls and the start was validated on the fourth attempt. The strong current caused 35% of the fleet to be out of line.

The race was held with wind from the NE (35º) with an intensity of 14 to 16 knots, the first victory was awarded to Miguel Padrón Ferrer (RCN Gran Canaria), who entered the finish line escorted by his teammates Miguel Ángel Méndez and Jaime Lang-Lenton. The sailor from RCN Tenerife, Sofía Hernández, was fourth and first female.

In the second round, the first start was good with a wind of 12 to 14 knots between 05º and 10º of direction. Miguel Ángel Méndez (RCNGC) achieved the victory that allowed him to be placed leader of the general and male U16. The second position was for Jorge Betancort (RCN Arrecife), Luis Mesa (RCNGC) finished third. Carla Lorenzo (RCN Tenerife) entered fourth as the first female, followed by Elena Armas (RCN Arrecife) who was eighth overall.

After the first day, the sailors from RCNGC and RCNT share the leads in Absolute and by categories. The provisional general male podium is formed by Miguel Ángel Méndez and Jaime Lang Lenton in the first two places, followed by Andrés Martín from RCN Arrecife as third. The same classification for the male U16.

In girls, the general classification is led by Sofía Hernández (RCNT), second and third place for RCN Arrecife with Elena Armas and Gabriela Cañibano. The three sailors lead the male U16 classification.

Cristian Ayoset Vega (RCNGC) is the leader in male U13 with a 20-point advantage over Jorge Pérez Castillo (RCNT). David Álamo (RCNGC) is third, two points behind the second position. In girls, Irene Benítez Gómez (RCNT) is at the front of the U13, followed by the sailors from RCNGC, Rocío González and Lili María Skomska.

In male U11, Javier Arrate Castro (RCNT) leads, followed by Antonio Linares (Club de Mar Radazul) and Pelayo Sánchez Reguero (Club Deportivo Código Cero). Lola Carrión (Club Deportivo Código Cero) is the only female U11 participant and is in 78th place overall.
