About twenty drivers will compete this weekend in the second round of the Canary Islands Radio Control Car Championship. A test that will take place at the Gran Karting Club facilities in Puerto del Carmen, where fans can enjoy the scale cars and the skill of the drivers to handle the small radio-controlled vehicles. On Friday there were free practice sessions and the official competition will begin at four o'clock on Saturday afternoon.
The Canary Islands 1/10 Electric Touring Scale Radio Control Car Championship faces its second event of the season and the best drivers in the Canary Islands meet in Lanzarote. About twenty participants will compete at the Gran Karting Club in Puerto del Carmen, with the competition taking place on the asphalt surface.
One of the big favorites for the final victory is Toni Mateo from Gran Canaria, who throughout his sporting career has been several times champion of Spain and is currently in the "European Top Ten". Antimo Valiente from Lanzarote will try to face him in this competition and assert his status as a local. Another name that sounds strong to occupy the first positions is Rubén Quintana, who has been among the top finishers in different Spanish Championships.
Friday has been used by the participants to carry out free practice. These training sessions are used to fine-tune the cars that they are going to use throughout the weekend. The official competition will take place on Saturday between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
