Lanzarote wins 9 medals at the National Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championship

The X-Fight Tem Neydson Ferreira Club of Lanzarote participated last weekend in the second day of the National Brazilian Jiu Jitsu League and did so achieving magnificent results. The Lanzarote competitors won nine medals in the different categories, establishing themselves as one of the best national teams. White belt Haridian González was the great winner of the Lanzarote expedition, achieving two gold medals in the middleweight and absolute category. Blue belt Tony Biyang won gold and silver medals.

The second stage of the National Brazilian Jiu Jitsu League, organized by the European Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association, was held in the Olimpia Pavilion in Madrid. A competition that was part of the IV Eurofighter Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Cup and brought together more than 200 competitors representing 25 teams. The island of Lanzarote was represented in this competition by the members of the X-Fight Team Neyson Ferreira club and whose competitors left the pavilion very high. 5 gold, two silver and two bronze medals were the metals won by the Lanzarote competitors.

The greatest successes were achieved by the white belts Haridian González García, Tayeb Mirari and José Bencomo González, being champions and gold medals in their respective categories, Haridian González won the gold medal in the middleweight and in the absolute category. For his part, Tayeb Mirari was champion in the middle heavyweight category and José Bencomo was in the heavyweight category.

The blue belts Tony Biyang de Dios, Juan Sestayo Paris, Alberto Ramírez Doblado and Daniel Torres Auyanet, also stood out in their respective categories and won several metals. The most outstanding performance was by Tony Biyang with a gold medal in the heavyweight category and a silver in the absolute category. Juan Sestayo won a silver medal in the middleweight category. And the bronzes were for Alberto Ramírez and Daniel Torres, in the light and slight categories, respectively.

Brzilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art, which combines combat sport and personal defense. Focused mainly on fighting, it includes throwing techniques, takedowns, joint dislocations, strangulations and submissions. A sport that in Lanzarote can be practiced at the X-Fight Team Neyson Ferreira club.
