J. Lasso C. .- Hotel Lancelot San José Obrero achieved an important victory against one of its direct rivals to avoid relegation. Their opponent was the reserve team of the current Asobal champion, Portland San Antonio.
Those from Titerroy approached the match with a very serious game in defense, a quick exit to attack and a good circulation of the ball.
During the first half, Casanova's team was always ahead on the scoreboard, despite encountering an excellent defense from the Navarrese. Luis Morín's penetrations on the wing, Aparicio's outside shots and Nico's finishes were the support that motivated Hotel Lancelot to go to halftime with a favorable 12-10.
In the second half, the good local defense meant that the hotelkeepers deployed their best artillery and went ahead on the scoreboard with significant differences. The Navarrese 4-2 defense was ineffective in stopping an extraordinary Nico, who, in the end, considered that "the match was very exciting. They couldn't withstand the strong rhythm we imposed on them. It is always important to win at home and it is about time to score points away to distance ourselves from the teams that will fight with us for relegation".
With this victory, Hotel Lancelot is in eighth place in the standings, for the moment, out of the relegation zone.
In the next match, those from Titerroy visit Aldaiturriaga Urdaneta in Lujua-Loui (Bilbao), another direct rival for Hotel Lancelot.
Jesús Casanova will not be able to count on Paco for work reasons on that occasion. According to the Lanzarote coach, "Urdaneta is a rival with very experienced players and great physical strength. In addition, arriving on the same day of the match in Bilbao and the possible absences for work reasons, mean that we always play limited".
