The sports commission of UD Lanzarote continues working to create a squad with guarantees for the new season. On Monday afternoon, the signing of goalkeeper Santi Lampón was closed, a player who defended the goal of UD Vecindario in the last season. A signing with which the goal is completed, with Santi Lampón and Ruymán fighting for the starting position.
Santiago Lampón Pereira was born on October 17, 1972 and has an extensive sports career. His beginnings were in the lower categories of UD Las Palmas and he has played in teams such as Lorca, Universidad de Las Palmas, Getafe, Ceuta and Castillo. From the 2003 to 2007 season he was in the ranks of Vecindario, then played three seasons at Universidad de Las Palmas and in the last season he returned to defend the colors of Vecindario.
UD Lanzarote and the player had been negotiating the incorporation to the red and white team for some time. It was on Monday afternoon when the final agreement between the two parties was closed, through which Santi Lampón will be linked to UD Lanzarote for one season.
Santi Lampón becomes the fifth signing made by UD Lanzarote in the summer market and joins the incorporations of David Dorta, Taja, Alex Yunes and Gustavo García. The goalkeeper, like the rest of his teammates, will begin the pre-season with UD Lanzarote on Tuesday afternoon.
