The Canarian wrestling of Lanzarote and the town of San Bartolomé paid a well-deserved tribute to Felipe Martín Rocío "Pito". A tribute with which they wanted to value his extensive sports career in the arenas of Lanzarote. After more than 33 years as a Canarian wrestling referee, he has decided to hang up the whistle.

Framed within the program of activities of the patron saint festivities of San Bartolomé 2011, the Feluco Paz arena hosted an entertaining friendly fight in recognition of Felipe Martín "Pito's" 33-year sports career in refereeing. More than 250 spectators packed the stands of the municipal arena.

The Lanzarote Island Federation of Canarian Wrestling awarded Felipe Martín the Gold Medal, receiving different distinctions from the Island Committee of Referees and several clubs in Lanzarote.

On the sand of Feluco Paz in San Bartolomé, two combined teams from Lanzarote faced each other. A large part of the fight was directed by Felipe Martín Rocío "Pito". Accompanied by Francisco Hernández and Adrián de León. The confrontation was developed through the running fight system, with Combined "B" winning by 14 to 17.

The top thrower of the fight was Pedro Hernández, Highlight "A" of Unión Norte, taking down five opponents, only surpassed by Andrés Carmelo Guillén. In Combined "B" the most active was the Playa Honda fighter Aitor Lorenzo and the most spectacular Octavio Perera who took down Marcial Viñoly and Moisés Olivero.
