CB Puerto del Carmen defeated Disreca Juventud Las Palmas (41-18) last Sunday at the Sports City Pavilion in Lanzarote in a match corresponding to the third day of the Group for the 'Canarian Women's Territorial League Cup'.
The match didn't have much history. From the beginning, the Tinajo team prevailed in the Arrecife park. The visitors had many problems in attack and the poor ball circulation ended up in the aurinegras' favorite menu, speed and counterattacks. Far from patching the problems, as the minutes passed, the Gran Canaria team was surpassed throughout the match, accumulating penalties in defense that added, if possible, greater difficulty to their match in Arrecife.
The Tinajo team enjoyed a victory with choral and distributed scoring, with Iraya Fernández being their top scorer with seven goals and three other players, Nayra Gil, Nayara De León and Sofía de León, adding five more goals each. In Juventud Las Palmas, Natalia Padrón contributed seven goals for the visitors.
CB Puerto del Carmen continues to lead the standings of the group for the 'Women's Territorial League Cup' with nine points, three more than Lecomar, who has played one game less than the Tinajo team.
