The new Porrón X, armed by Luis Senís and under the sports direction of Nano Negrín from Lanzarote, starts the season with the Swan 42 adding the first triumph. He does it at 'home' thus conquering his seventh triumph in the Castellón Costa Azahar Regatta with two partial triumphs, both achieved on Saturday, in which it was possible to navigate and close two races.

On Sunday, the reports already indicated that it was going to be a long and very complicated day, difficult to close a single race. And so it was. At the scheduled time, 10:30 a.m., the fleet went to the regatta field with a light shower and with the worst omens regarding wind conditions.

The regatta committee, with the fleet in the planned area, has sought the wind at all times and although there was some feint, it did not reach either intensity or direction, so already at the limit time, 3:00 p.m., the committee decided to conclude the regatta.

With the results of this Saturday, Porrón X, under the pennant of the RCN of Valencia, is proclaimed champion of the XXVI Castellón Costa de Azahar Regatta, with two partial triumphs in Class 1-2. Silver goes to the local Proalviento, by Eduardo Maestre, with 4 points, while the U.P. Valencia, by José Antonio Gil and with the flag of the RCN of Valencia is third with 7 points, the same as Tuvvik, by Joaquín Ibáñez, from the RCN of Castellón, has obtained.

In class 3 the triumph has been for the Ibizan Nautic Café del Mar, while in 4 Guaira takes the title.

The crew of the Porrón X | Swan 42 is made up of the Canary Islanders Yaimur Hernández, David Martín, Cristian Sánchez (2022 Snipe class world champion), Antonio Martín, Alejandro Bethancourt and Nano Negrín Sanginés; the Galicians Mikel Pasabant and Jesús Pintos and the representatives of the Valencian Community, with Gonzalo Suárez (Alicante), Fernando Sauquillo (Valencia), Luis Senís Blasco and Luis Senís Segarra (Castellón).

"We cannot draw a relevant reading about the regatta, although it has helped us to see the 'tweaks' that we have made to the boat with a view to the SM La Reina Trophy, which we are also going to compete in the compensated time system. Our main objective is to sail in our class and in real time, that is where we put all the effort and work to achieve a good result, both in the Copa del Rey and in the Swan World Championship"

"As far as the triumph in Castellón is concerned, it is a title that acquires a more sentimental character for the owner, since he is from this city and has a special affection for the regatta and the Club, which has turned to all the sailors, a ten for the organization in all senses and aspects".
