Work, sacrifice and determination are some of the hallmarks of Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero to face the season in the Men's Silver Division of Handball. The Lanzarote team made its debut on Saturday night on the court of BM Villa de Aranda, one of the teams relegated from the ASOBAL League, and which aspires to return to the highest category. Ca´Mario Lanzarote played a very serious match on the court, and only in the last minutes Villa de Aranda was able to tip the match in their favor.

The match started well for the interests of Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero. Diego Reyes and Nico López were in charge of putting 0-2 on the scoreboard. BM Villa de Aranda gradually got into the match, achieving a partial score of 3-0 and forcing Jordi Lluelles to request the first timeout in the 11th minute of the match (5-3).

Throughout the first half, Villa de Aranda enjoyed advantages of two and three goals. Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero was a bit rushed in the attacking actions and showed its strength in the defensive line. Pedro Cabrera was in charge of breaking a partial score of the locals, putting 8-6 on the scoreboard in the middle of the first half.

Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero never lost face in the match and was able to equalize the match in the final minutes of the first half. A first period that concluded with two goals from Marcio Da Silva and one from Javi García, to achieve a partial score of 0-3 and tie the score. The first 30 minutes of play concluded with a score of 12-12.

As happened in the first half, it was Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero who enjoyed the first income on the scoreboard. Captain Luis Morín and the Belarusian Andrei Vakhnovich were in charge of putting the Lanzarote team ahead on two occasions. A second half in which the differences were minimal, and nerves began to take over the fans of BM Villa de Aranda.

Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero lost Andrei Vakhnovich for the final stretch of the match, after suffering the third exclusion after the halfway point of the second half. Some decisions by the referees helped tip the match in favor of BM Villa de Aranda. In a seven-meter action, they did not disqualify the local player. With eight minutes remaining, Javi García scored 21-22, remaining injured on the court, without the match being stopped and allowing Villa de Aranda to take the center to mount a quick counterattack.

Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero lacked air to face the last five minutes of the match, a circumstance that BM Villa de Aranda took advantage of to tip the match in their favor. The Lanzarote team had little depth of bench in this match, facing the match with only eleven players. With the result of 27-23, the match came to an end.

Despite the defeat, good sensations were shown by Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero in its debut in the Men's Silver Division of Handball. The Lanzarote team is already thinking about its debut in the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion, receiving the visit of IKERSA BM Madrid next Saturday.
