The final of the youth category of the XXXVI Isla de Lanzarote Tournament of Canarian Wrestling faced CL Tinajo against CL Tao, the two best teams of the regular phase of the competition and whose background gave CL Tao as a clear favorite. In sports, the status of favorite must be demonstrated, and in this case CL Tinajo was able to defeat its rival with great impetus, guided by an Alexander Catarino who brought down five opponents and a Francisco Ribera who eliminated Jean Pierre Moreno in the last grab.
The first matches of the youth final were marked by equality. Erik Tejera from Tinajo gave Omar Shala and Kevin de la Hoz the two in a row. In the ranks of CL Tao, Jorge Quintero gave Hacomar Curbelo the two in a row and the cadet Zebenzui García did the same with José Cala, reflecting the score at that moment as a 2-2 tie.
CL Tao gradually began to take off on the scoreboard. The last match of the night would face Francisco Ribera and Jean Pierre Moreno. In the first grab, the Tao fighter was injured in the shoulder, raising his hand to his opponent. Jean Pierre Moreno recovered, going out in the second grab and seeing how Francisco Ribera took him to the ground to put the definitive 12 to 10 and CL Tinajo became the champion of the youth competition.
The youth final of the XXXVI Isla de Lanzarote Tournament of Canarian Wrestling concluded with the presentation of trophies and awards for the season. Echedey Pérez (CL Unión Norte) received the award for the most spectacular fighter of the competition and Alexander Catarino (CL Tinajo) was the top tumbler. Kiko Aparicio, Sports Councilor of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, presented the champion trophy to CL Tinajo.
