In the last matchday of the regular phase of the Women's Honor Gold Division, direct promotion to the Guerreras Iberdrola League was at stake, and CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife was not willing to make things easy for its rival. Balonmano Morvedre was against the ropes in several phases of the match. In the final minutes, those from Sagunto tipped the match in their favor and ended up celebrating the direct promotion.

The first minutes were marked by the intensity of the game developed by both teams, with a lot of speed on the court. Motvedre proposed a 5:1 defense to limit the attacking actions of the
locals, and the exchange of goals was common in this phase of the match, with the visitors enjoying a slight advantage. Unlike previous matches, CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife could not find a way to connect with its pivot, with Morvedre blocking the passing lines. In the final minutes of the first half, two counterattacks culminated by María Rosell gave the visiting team a four-goal advantage. With the score of 9 to 13, the end of the first half was reached in the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion.

CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife showed their pride and mettle in the first minutes of the second half, and managed to equalize in just six minutes. Goals from Gema Trujillo, Marilia Correia (2) and Leti Cobo, tied the score (13-13). Morvedre began to have problems overcoming the local defense, and nerves began to set in among the visiting players.

With nine minutes left in the match, a goal from Beatriz Masseu put CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife ahead (19-18), forcing Manu Etayo to request a time-out. On the return to the court, María Rosell pulled rank and was in charge of returning the advantage to her team. In addition, under the posts Sonora Solano made saves of great merit, preventing the locals from finishing the job.

Balonmano Morvedre was better in the final minutes of the match, and ended up taking the victory by a tight 20 to 22. A result that allows the Sagunto team to lead the standings of the Women's Honor Gold Division, and conquer the promotion to the Guerreras Iberdrola League. CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife finishes the regular phase as fourth classified. On the afternoon of this Monday, the calendar of the promotion phase to the Guerreras Iberdrola League will be drawn, which will be held from May 17 to 19, and the venue will also be known.
