UD Lanzarote is not going through its best moment of the season, suffering this Sunday morning its third defeat in a row and leaving the play-off positions of promotion of the Third Federation. The game of the red and white team improved in the second half, but it was not enough to win the three points that were at stake.
UD Lanzarote was not at all comfortable on the pitch in the first half, being surpassed in many phases by the game of CD Tenerife “B”. El Aarbi, a player who debuted with the first team, had the first chance of the match, his cross shot going wide of the three posts in the 9th minute.
CD Tenerife “B” took the lead in the 14th minute, David heading in a cross from Thierno's left wing. Minutes later, Ayoze Pérez was able to equalize, heading in a cross from Adrián Machín's right and the ball crashing into the crossbar.
At the beginning of the second half, UD Lanzarote jumped onto the pitch with much more intensity and looking for the equalizer. The locals had a double chance in the 51st minute, Fabricio sending a shot to the base of the post and the rejection was picked up by Ayoze, the goalkeeper Víctor reacting with a great intervention.
After half an hour of the second half came the equalizing goal. Agoney extended a corner kick at the far post and Rodrigo at the goal mouth finished into the back of the net. The joy to the red and whites barely lasted two minutes, the time it took Lie to beat Ruymán low and put the 1 to 2 on the scoreboard.
UD Lanzarote kept trying until the end of the match, although more with the heart than with the head and crashing again and again in the defensive framework of the opponent. In the extension, the locals claimed a possible penalty on Ismael Traoré when he was trying to enter the interior of the area.
Defeat by 1 to 2 against CD Tenerife “B”, a result that takes the team out of the play-off zone for promotion of the Third Federation and accumulating three consecutive days without scoring. Next Sunday UD Lanzarote will visit CD Marino, match scheduled for 12:30 hours at the Antonio Domínguez Stadium.
