Everything had been positive throughout the week, with the return to the Municipal de Yaiza, and the incorporation of new players to the squad. An optimism that could not be transferred to the match played this Sunday against CD Coria, with Unión Sur Yaiza suffering a defeat that leaves them in a complicated position in the standings. Pablo Margallo scored against his former team to put the locals ahead, but Coria turned the score around with goals from Mariano and Gonzalo.
Unión Sur Yaiza came out with more drive on the field and as a result managed to take the lead in the 4th minute. In a cross from the left wing, Pablo Margallo finished in the last instance to make it 1-0. Shortly after, Marco Siverio had the second in a quick counterattack, cutting past a defender and the shot going wide.
CD Coria tied the match in the 11th minute, after a play down the left and Mariano culminated with a shot from the near post. Yaiza did not fall apart, having up to three chances to unbalance the score. In the first, Diego Casoppero headed a ball for Kellyan to put his hand next to the crossbar. In the second, Jordan shot from inside the area for the ball to crash into the post. And in the third, Siverio stole a ball in a back pass from a defender, not being successful in the shot that did not find the goal.
CD Coria was better in the first minutes of the second half, with the Extremadurans having a double chance in the first minutes. Unión Sur Yaiza began to react as a result of a play by Emiliano Trovento, with a powerful shot from the edge of the area that Kellyan cleared for a corner. And in the 79th minute, Fabricio executed a free kick from the left vertex of the area, with the goalkeeper putting his hand in to avoid the goal.
With four minutes left for the end of the match, CD Coria scored the goal that would give them the victory. Sergio Gómez executed a corner kick, and Gonzalo's lobbed header at the far post ended up beating Oier.
