Unión Sur Yaiza continues with changes in search of solutions to improve its position in the category. After the departure of coach Adolfo Pérez from the club, the board has decided to bet on Carlos Ramírez, until now technical manager of the youth team and who already has experience leading the southern team in the Third Division.

Ramírez, 54 years old, has green in his veins after being at the club for four years in a row. Previously, he was in other stages. Now, he has been with the youth team for three years plus one year before that he served as coordinator of the southern team.

According to the new Yaiza coach, “in the first training session I have seen the team very motivated, with a great desire to get this forward. I know many of the players, some have been with me before and others I know from coming with other teams.”

Regarding the reinforcements, Ramírez considers that “I have to see the signings, I practically don't know them and after seeing them in training, after getting to know them, we will decide and know if I stay with them or not. I have found the dressing room quite well, the boys are very eager, I had a chat with them and I saw them excited to get this out together, put everything to get it out. In addition, there is time, resources and a good squad for Yaiza to be much higher than where it is. In recent weeks the team has improved, has played quite well but we already know that the dynamics work like this, it seems that everything is against it, it would be necessary to culminate the occasions and avoid mistakes so that they don't get you but I have seen the team well.”

The new coach comments that when he told the youth players “they didn't expect it, they took it well but the boys were downcast, last year was a nice season, we moved up a category and this year, with very young people, the team is going from less to more. They took it well on the one hand, because their coach moves up a category but they were also somewhat sad but it is the law of life, they have no other choice.”

Carlos Ramírez is grateful that the board is betting on him, “with the board, with Bernardo Povedano at the head, I get along very well. I have a very good impression after having spoken several times. I get along very well with Bernardo, the president, he has trusted me for almost the second round and I see him, like the boys, confident and he trusts me and I am sure that we are capable of getting this forward and putting Yaiza in the place it deserves”, concludes the new southern coach.
