The second round of the Spanish Jet Ski Championship was held yesterday in Galician waters with the dispute of the City of Vigo Trophy on Samir beach. Pedro Vega from Gran Canaria performed at his best and won in both modalities, circuit and raid. In the first of these, our representatives dominated the race from its early stages, and at the end of the two rounds held, Pedro took first position and Iván Pérez from Lanzarote took second, so with two rounds to go before the end of the National Championship, they are precisely the ones occupying the top two places in the overall standings. Iván is the leader with 65 points and Pedro is second with 55, far ahead of the rider in third place, Pedro Rodríguez from Valencia, who has 37.

In raid, and within the Superstock division (official competition bikes), the victory also went to Pedro Vega, who crossed the finish line with a large advantage over the second classified, Juan Félix Bravo from Andalusia, who arrived ahead of Iván Pérez, who had to settle for the third step of the podium.

The real protagonist was Pedro Vega. He took the lead in the first meters of the race, and gradually increased his advantage until finishing with several minutes of difference over his nearest pursuer. The overall standings are very tight with two races to go (Valencia and Zaragoza). First is Pedro Vega with 37 points, second Juan Félix Bravo with 32 and third Iván Pérez with 28. The rider from Lanzarote commented at the end of the event that "My teammate Pedro has been racing at a really extraordinary level for a long time, and it will be very difficult to beat him, but the 9 points he has over me in the standings are perfectly recoverable. In the other modality, the circuit, I am the one who has a 10-point advantage, but in the two races that remain I will not go out to conserve, but to win".
