Lasso C. .- After the celebration last night in the Bar of the Puerto Calero Club of the previous meeting of skippers participating in the XIII edition of the Puerto Calero Fishing Tournament, at nine o'clock this morning almost sixty boats that will fight for the capture of the precious blue marlin will set sail. The fishing days will be repeated tomorrow Friday and Saturday with departure always at the same time.

The expectation will arrive at the Puerto Calero facilities every afternoon when the boats begin to appear through the mouth of the port with their catches, that will be after five, the time indicated for the participants to raise their lines on board. From there, the weighing time will be opened until seven in the afternoon on the esplanade located in front of the Puerto Calero Club Bar, the weighing judges Alfredo Morales, Constante Lorenzo, Alfonso Valls, Tito Mesa Josué Ageo and Andrés Cruz will be in charge of certifying the weights of each specimen. The presidency of the jury of the XIII Puerto Calero Tournament will be in charge of José Calero.

Throughout the fishing days in the Puerto Calero facilities you can see the construction of beautiful sand sculptures of important dimensions.

Also sculptures by the Lanzarote artist Francisco Curbelo will be used to reward the winning boats and crew on Saturday night at the closing ceremony. Precisely a work by Curbelo dedicated to Latin Sailing presides over the entrance to the Puerto Calero facilities.

In addition, the boat that manages to add the highest score throughout the three days of fishing will enjoy a three-day trip for two people to Miami or the Bahamas, where they can practice deep-sea fishing on board an official boat from the prestigious American shipyard Bertram.
