I had the honor and luck to meet, or rather, to delve deeper with Antonio González Medina many years ago.

I was told to be cautious (when I assumed organizational responsibilities in the Socialist Group of Haría), he was accused, investigated, or whatever you want to call what signifies the beginning of a person's disrepute. Because of my personality, I ignored such warnings and had multiple talks and breakfasts with my friend and colleague that enriched my knowledge in politics, the idiosyncrasy of our island, and our people day by day.

I can never sufficiently thank him for his advice, discussions, and accurate warnings.

Today, after so many years, so much struggle, and so much deterioration demonstrating THE TRUTH, justice concludes that "there are rational indications of criminality" to bring Pedro San Ginés to trial for the crime of false accusation and/or false testimony, who, as usual, flaunting impunity, states for his defense that this is already prescribed.

The economic, reputational, and health damage caused to our colleague is irreparable.

This individual (San Ginés) had no scruples to, based on lies (according to the rational indications of criminality of justice), ruin an honest family on our island and use it politically without caring about the consequences.

Let's hope that Justice finishes speaking and that JUSTICE is definitively done.

However, we should seriously reflect on the fact that not everything is valid in Politics, such as going to the courts, in the certainty that the time it will take to resolve plays in favor of the alleged defamer as long as the fallacy is demonstrated. This has become a common practice in our country.

You only have to watch a news program or open a newspaper to see the drift of the political brawl towards the courts in a malicious way.

In our case, we have been living with the embarrassment of the judicial fight for years. The door of the courts has become the catwalk for politicians and businessmen, showing us a shameful showcase of how things have worked on our Island. We must analyze in depth the arts that have been used during so many years of government of the Canarian Coalition and the lack of decency they have used to overthrow the opponent. It is enough to occupy any relevant public position to suffer it in your own flesh, as they leave no stone unturned. The trajectory of this formation in the municipality of Haría would be a good example of disastrous management, persecution of citizens, intimidation of businessmen, and exhibitionism of the permanent lawsuit against any initiative or benefit for the people. More than twenty years of the PMHCCPMHCC alphabet soup governing together or separately certify it.

Within this reflection, it is impossible not to think also about the families of those of us who dedicate ourselves to public service. Having to say this after 46 years of democracy cries out to heaven.

The family is the great victim of so much hostility and so much confrontation, not to mention the little time they can enjoy since one of its members enters politics, they gratuitously suffer the baseness of the fight in the media that sometimes reaches the schoolyard of the children. There is no right.

We already know the consequences of defamation, what has not yet been measured are the psychological repercussions that leave a mark and will mark the lives of those who have suffered them. And this does not prescribe.

Today, after so many years, all his friends, colleagues are sad because we are in the skin of the family of our colleague. We are sad because our colleague is no longer here to see how justice finally protects him. We are sad because after more than ten years and in his absence, no one will have to apologize to his face, publicly as well, and compensate him for all the damages caused, which are many.

In the name of many and in my own, we pay tribute to an honest, hardworking person and a dear friend and colleague.
