The implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) throughout Spain has meant an undeniable improvement in quality when tuning images on the receiver (except when the screen is pixelated and we are left "blank"), and at the same time, the realization that far-right, ultramontane sectors and enemies of democratic coexistence have discovered a means to directly access the consciences of citizens without the need to gather in streets and squares to shout cheers to Franco, Pinochet or Mussolini.

I am talking about Libertad Digital, Veo TV, Grupo Intereconomía, Popular TV and some other local conglomerate whose ultimate goals are to undermine democracy, strike at civil liberties, deny political and social progress and point to the left as a whole, and in particular the PSOE and its Government, as the culprits of all the evils and disasters that plague the country. It is about attacking the public in its entirety: the democratic institutions, their elected representatives as provided by the constitutional order, the unions, judges, prosecutors, police and civil guards who simply do their job correctly, impartial media, NGOs singled out by pseudo-fascists as being close to the PSOE... They seek to delegitimize the democratic system, and they give as an example "how well Berlusconi has things in place".

They have support. Closed-minded and nostalgic sectors of the past, as well as those harmed in power distributions who have been left out. The bishops, who have ordered ZP to be slaughtered because the socialists approve laws inspired by the devil, such as the one that considers interrupting pregnancy a right; members of the Judiciary anchored in a narrow-minded and retrograde administration of justice; neo-Nazi associations such as Falange de las Jons; the PP, which remains silent and watches with a smile the attacks against democracy.

They are a kind of far-right that dictates sentences on DTT and calls for not placing a part of our income tax in the box corresponding to "social purposes" and changing it for the Catholic, fundamentalist and Taliban church that persists in Spain. Every night, on Intereconomía, on Libertad Digital, on Veo TV, hatred of the Government is encouraged and characters as absolutely unacceptable in Spanish politics as Esperanza Aguirre or Jaume Matas or Mayor Oreja are cheered. Jiménez Losantos mocks Rajoy because he considers him "soft", compared to the all-out war he proposes against the left. They shout, slander, lie and defame, allegedly in the name of the unity of Spain, although in reality, they clamor for the return of the cave. They are digital troglodytes, a unique species of Cro-Magnons with pixels that function as media mercenaries. They make tons of trash TV.

In Lanzarote, there is an equivalent. Lancelot TV.
