The request by citizens for the need to expand the number of authority agents on the island, especially in Arrecife, is more than evident.
Unfortunately, the percentage of robberies, thefts, occupations of private property, public disorder and other uncivil attitudes in the capital city is increasing (burning of containers, vehicles, assaults, etc.).
Some dare to say that the cases have decreased, but they forget the percentage of confinement time and other restrictions, which make citizens obliged to remain hidden in their areas of residence, which lowers the statistics in general. But the real proportionality is based on the incidence of citizen complaints based on administrative data, we refer to both police and judicial, from where the complaints are presented, and where the indications in them suggest that they are mostly caused by NON-RESIDENT citizens (always speaking in population data).
We all know that illegal immigration has increased in the Canary Islands with the entry of about 600 more boats in 2020 compared to 2019 and more than 20,000 people compared to the previous year. Administratively, a legal inaction is created from the governmental part that creates, in short, INSECURITY in our streets and neighborhoods of different municipalities.
Yes, I know that automatically, some, less and less, may launch the insults of all known: racists, xenophobes, homophobes, misogynists, fascists, etc. Really and sadly we take it for granted, and therefore say that I think we are doing something right, when the most radical left is dedicated to defaming us from the most rancid obsolete discourse, which has nothing to do with what citizens are asking us in the hell in which they perceive to be living today, and who criticize while poorly discoursing when there are no real effective State policies for citizens to whom they owe the dedication they require and request.
We have serious problems to face, but before thinking about that number of very necessary agents, we must comment on the greatest of the incidents, which deals, of course, with those who have to represent us in these tasks by the Local Administration and, in short, how they value this problem from the capital Consistory. These leave us in uncertainty and in evidence once again, with movements, let's say murky, when presenting a Public Offer of places where what is missing is one of the most important characteristics that we cannot ignore: TRANSPARENCY.
We all know that to present a publication, its bases have to be supervised by a certain number of responsible parties. Among them, we have to name the Secretary, Unions, Local Security Board and the Mayor himself. All of them owe the rigor that any type of Public Employment Offer has to be detailed, planned and supervised before making its publication, so as not to encounter the current problem later.
Once again, we find the old saying "from that dust these muds";. We find a Public Employment Offer, having to be reviewed by the Courts, now on appeal to the highest instance and with the sadness of observing that instead of ensuring the impartiality of the same, it has allegedly been attempted to be clientelistic to the favoritism of some, and it is studied, not only the number of places offered, but the promotion of others, something that is abnormal and of very old usage but that seems that the custom denotes the arbitrariness in the facts.
Under this problem, we would find ourselves once again with new adjustment criteria in the pockets of citizens. On the one hand, not being able to count on a series of agents who should be performing their duties of service to the citizen in the different needs that require and have, and, on the other hand, the possible compensations that will entail in case the failure is assessed due to malpractice by the competent authorities. In the absence of agents, we have a new approach by different parliamentary groups, where they request the petition of the Canarian Police, of which, from our position, we disagree for a number of reasons.
The Autonomous Police, created under an investment of exorbitant madness, is composed of just over 150 troops to serve our entire archipelago, is invested in a high-scale logistics, warehouses on different locations of provinces, vehicles, uniforms, other material in charge and most importantly to highlight by us, the training to cover the competences. That training costs us and will cost us much more money if the approach in the process is to expand these places without professional criteria, and that at this time sounds futuristic and unrealistic not to say laughable.
In the different AA.CC., the intention developed in Catalonia, Basque Country and Navarre, has become a political purpose over time, but this, in turn, has created serious discrepancies, and they have achieved it, on these competences. They have destabilized the effectiveness of the same between the FCSE and Autonomous Police for lack of coordination and cooperation. For those who perform the different police specialties, they know that it is a reality, and end up discussing and valuing in different offices with different opinions and evaluative criteria of political character.
Where do we want to get? What is the real purpose? Increasingly incited under federalist policies to destabilize Spain from all possible strategic points of institutional power, and the Police was not going to be less! In the Canary Islands they want to do the same. A ruthless intention where little by little makes the FCSE end up being non-existent, displacing more and more the National Police Corps and the Civil Guard.
From our policies, for us that is unthinkable and will be unfeasible, do not have the slightest doubt! Our support to the FCSE is resounding and unconditional from where we offer and render our greatest admiration and support from its creation to the present days.
It must be taken into account that providing different budgets for the same purpose ultimately affects everyone. What do they plan to do to create these places? Raise taxes on citizens as usual? I think that, with the current widespread situation of discomfort and lack of control in different areas, citizens are not very supportive of wanting to spend from where there is not after the lack of investment for the real problems that do affect the Canary Islands now more than ever. Have they told the citizens how much the displacement for diets and location and installation of the agents is going to cost us? Let's be aware and not irresponsible. We believe that the most appropriate for the needs of all Canarians, is to formalize an adaptation of these places back to the different police forces already established under agreements of better interest to the benefit of public service under the FCSE and other Municipalities with lack of local police officers. The FCSE already have experience and infrastructural logistics for the different specialties. After which, it would be better to invest in them and equip them as required within the needs, giving more benefits to the CCAA in an attached way, as they have been developing in Galicia, Valencia or Catalonia for many years in the case of the CNP and in different interprovincial populations by the GC.
It is an authentic nonsense what politicians are doing with our FCSE. In Navarre they have already suppressed the mountain service provided by the GC (GREIM) and now little is missing to dismantle the traffic competences so that they are fully handed over to the Foral Police.
But let's emphasize on the Local Police of Arrecife.
How many times have we heard our local politicians fighting for an effectiveness in general human resources for them? How many times have they said the time it takes to complete the works of the facilities of the Local Police Station of Arrecife? Have any of you considered that the location of the facilities are obsolete and should be in a place more responsive to all neighborhoods of Arrecife? Do not you think, politicians, that they should be adapted and designed in the same or similar way as the Fire Department that has its own warehouse, from where they can perform their duties such as receiving complaints from citizens, develop their meetings on activities to be performed, own parking for their vehicles, armories, changing rooms and everything necessary without being in the public eye by passing every passerby? And as for the material means, what to say! Until very recently they lacked radios to share the news and now they have given them some wonderful ECO vehicles very little operational to tell citizens once they require them, that they will go for the criminals when the vehicles are with the batteries fully charged to perform the corresponding task.
But it happens that those vehicles are not operational, and what I mean is that they do not correspond to the effectiveness required for the action-reaction necessary for the competent purpose. They say they are missing to deliver gasoline cars, because we abound in the same criterion: Have they checked that they are the most effective? Or is it to continue with the dynamics to political servility and give continuity to the war against diesel by criteria directed from Agenda 2030?
The management and decisions are made and taken almost always by thinking heads not professional, and usually are how not, of political and not constructive character, for those who have to perform their work with professionalism.
As for the emissions of pollution we leave it for another time, with the new technologies against the different fuels, but let's focus on the important and simple that is based on performance, maintenance and operation of them. We believe that you have not been able to assess or even dare to think that you have not even taken a second of your worthy time to raise it.
Our criterion logically, is to give the most coherent benefits to our police in what concerns the third largest capital city of the Canary Islands, as they deserve and with all the guarantees. Having new criteria is the purpose of giving provision to the motivation by the troops in the development and planning of their actions so that we all have better benefits in the different mishaps that we currently have to give the best dynamics in what refers to citizen security.
From VOX we want to thank always the Local Police of Arrecife, giving our maximum support at all times. We will try to be up to the real needs that they lack and crave in every way, both in number of troops and in necessary means that they need as long as we get citizens to contribute their grain of sand giving us their trust in future elections. Tell them that you are very important and necessary for the tranquility of the citizens who so much claim them. They are needed now and always.
If we want to develop an efficient security for all, we must first start thinking about having politicians who know and value to perform, develop and plan with criteria.
Concluding, tell you politicians that this can not remain in a simple purpose of intention but of obligation, because they owe it to them. Yes, to their citizens and to the police who with their performance must protect them.
