The Yaiza City Council is executing, with its own resources, improvement works on the dirt roads of the Los Ajaches Natural Monument that give access to the beaches of Papagayo, "to adapt the sections that were most damaged", although it is already working on a larger project for the area.
This was announced by the mayor, Óscar Noda, who visited the works carried out by municipal workers together with Ángel Domínguez. "We have presented a project line in the Reactiva Canarias Plan for recovery, transformation and resilience financed with European funds to carry out a more forceful intervention through the use of an ecological agglomerate," he said.

The project foresees a sustainable development action on the entire section of the entire road, from the entrance of the roundabout to the beach parking lots, using the same material that is on the road, which they say "will allow for more lasting conservation and less environmental impact in the vicinity." The estimate of this investment, together with the treatment of other rural roads in the municipality, is around 5 million euros.
