Yaiza's workers have publicly asked the Town Hall's government group to "speed up the necessary procedures for the payment of the unpaid salaries" and warn that, "if they are not paid soon", they will take legal action against the Town Hall.

This was announced through the union representatives of the UGT civil servants in the southern Town Hall, who have come out to denounce "the current situation of the entire staff that provides its service in this institution".

Delays in the payment of municipal workers' salaries have been occurring for months, given the difficult economic situation of the Town Hall. However, on this occasion they have run out of patience, since on the 13th they have still not received their salary for last month and, in addition, there is no deadline for making the payment effective.

This same Wednesday, the deputy mayor of Yaiza, Leonardo Rodríguez, reiterated that the Town Hall is making arrangements to pay the salaries as soon as possible, although he has not been able to give a date.
